The vineyard is spread over 3 plots of family-owned land, which are all situated very close to the cellar. The total cultivated land area is 7 hectares of calcareous soil, combining cultivated land in terraces and plots.
The varieties of vine stock are:
Grenache (traditional variety cultivated in the area), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
The philosophy behind our farming methods is to use traditional and modern systems in order to achieve high-quality grapes and limited production, thereby completely rejecting the use of toxic products -herbicides, pesticides and mineral fertilizers - and turning instead to all natural methods -organic fertilizers, pruning systems which aid grapes with ventilation, mechanical and manual control of grass weeds- thereby adapting the vineyard to the land and climate conditions. |
